Founded by Howard Matre Sr. in 1969, Matre arms and ammunition has served as a national wholesale distributor of ammunition, firearms, and equipment for police forces. Now owned and operated by Mr. Matre’s grandson Lamont Matre Jacobs, the ever-growing, family-owned, award-winning company continues to serve customers from its small-town Ohio base.

In addition, Matre will trade/credit customers for duty or confiscated firearms, surplus ammunition, or spent brass.
